Course description
Implementation research course aims to provide techniques and tools for students to address the challenges of the know-do gap in real-world settings and the practicalities of achieving national and global health goals.
- Develop a public health intervention (medical, education, health technology etc) for implementation research of interest,
- Analyse the settings (hospital, community, district, state, country) and actors where public health intervention will be implemented,
- Reflect on the implementation process (activities and strategies) to implement the innovation,
- Understand different evaluation method use in implementation research,
- Elaborate the implementation research design to evaluate the input, intermediate outcome and ultimate outcome of the public health intervention.
By the end of the course student will be able to create and apply knowledge to design, implement and evaluate public health interventions in different context and settings.
Requirements and Selection
Entry requirements
Registered as a doctoral student.
Selection
Selection is performed according to the following:
- PhD students at Sahlgrenska Academy,
- PhD students enrolled at another university within a formal collaborative agreement on doctoral education with Sahlgrenska Academy,
- PhD students enrolled at another faculty at the University of Gothenburg or another university in Sweden,
- PhD students enrolled at a university outside Sweden.
