Course description
The overall aim of the course is to give the students experience in working with spoken language data, and knowledge of research on talk-in-interaction. During the course, the participants will be acquainted with methods for collecting and analysing spoken data, and they will acquire basic skills for carrying out their own resarch on spoken language. The course addresses theoretical and practical aspects of the analysis of talk-in-interaction, through empirical work on Swedish or Nordic data.

Entry requirements
Entry to the course requires that the student pursues doctoral studies in languages and linguistics or a related subject.
Selection
Primarily doctoral students admitted to the Department of Swedish, Multilingualism, Language Technology and secondarily the remaining qualified applicants.
